Lindsay Alcock
Lindsay Alcock (born October 6, 1977, Calgary, Alberta, CAN) is a Canadian skeleton racer who has competed since 1998. She won a silver medal in the women's skeleton event at the 2004 FIBT World Championships in Schönau am Königsee.
The Calgary native captured 14 medals, including six gold, during her six-year World Cup career. [1] Competing in two Winter Olympics, Alcock earned her best finish of sixth in the women's skeleton event at Salt Lake City in 2002 Winter Olympics. [2]. She won the women's Skeleton World Cup overall title in 2003-4. In 2006 at the Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy, she placed 10th overall with a time of 2:02.85. [3]
A native of Calgary, Alberta, Alcock is a 2000 graduate of the University of Calgary, with a Bachelors of Kinesiology degree, and then June 2013 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic West. She is in professional practice in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and also does motivational speaking.
