Academics
SCU incorporates the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, the School of Professional Studies, and the University Health Centers.
Accreditation
SCU is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), This regional accreditation is unmatched by any other institution offering both chiropractic and acupuncture/oriental medicine programs on the West Coast of the United States.
The Doctor of Chiropractic degree program of SCU is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education USA (CCE). The Doctor of Chiropractic program is also approved by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
The Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program of SCU is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), which is the recognized accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and oriental medicine practitioners, and is also approved by the California Acupuncture Board.
