Doctor of Chiropractic

The degree issued by all US and many foreign Chiropractic colleges

Chiropractic Physician

A practitioner of Chiropractic. Generally used by those who wish to distance themselves from the practitioner who more closely embraces the antiquated philosophies of "innate intelligence", "subluxation" and Bone out of place.

Chiropractor

A practitioner of Chiropractic. NB: all Doctors of Chiropractic are Chiropractors, and one cannot draw inferences regarding the practitioner's philosophy from the use of this generic term.

Chiropath

A practitioner of Chiropractic

Chiropractic

The practice of the profession

Chiropathy

Arcane, but correct term for the profession. Generally used, only when comparing the profession to the other healing arts, e.g., Allopathy (traditional medicine); Naturopathy, Osteopathy, Naprapathy, etc.

Obscure but correct term for the practice of Chiropractic

Chiropratique
