Biography

Dr. Santiago has lectured extensively throughout the United States, Latin America, South America and Europe[citation needed]to numerous medical groups on the topics of sports medicine and fitness. An Associate Professor, [2] he is Director of the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician program for New York Chiropractic College.

Named “Chiropractor of the Year” in New Jersey[citation needed], he has been honored as “Sports Chiropractor of the Year” by the American Chiropractic Association in 1993 [3]. Dr. Santiago has been inducted into two Sports Medicine Halls of Fame, one in New Jersey and the other through the American Chiropractic Association.[4] in 2005, duplicating his father's achievement.

He was selected to the Medical Team as the Chiropractic Physician for our US Olympic Team at the Games of the XXV Olympiad in Barcelona in 1992 [1] . For 17 years, he served on the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Sports Medicine Committee [5] which oversees all Medical Care for the US Olympic Team.

He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the County College of Morris [6] and Commissioner and Vice-chairman of the Morris County Sheriff's Department CrimeStoppers program [7].

His background includes being an All American collegiate and a professional soccer player[citation needed]. With ten years as a head coach of college soccer, his last five were with guiding Montclair State University[citation needed].

A private pilot, his passion is flying Angel Flight missions[citation needed] for children who require specialized health care that is not available in their local area.

In 2011, he was selected to serve as Secretary-General of the Fédération Internationale De Chiropratique Du Sport (FICS) [8] based at the IOC's building in Lausanne, Switzerland; the agency charged with overseeing Chiropractic Sports Medicine worldwide.
