A systematic review was published in February 2010 in the Journal Chiropractic & Osteopathy regarding the effectiveness of manual therapies. The authors found that spinal manipulation/mobilization is effective in adults for: acute, subacute, and chronic low back pain. They also concluded that SMT/mobilization was effective for migraine and cervicogenic headache and cervicogenic dizziness as well as several extremity joint conditions. Additionally they stated that thoracic manipulation/mobilization is effective for acute/subacute neck pain. [1]
