As of the FICS' general assembly in Rio de Janeiro, April 6, 2011, the IAOCO has merged into FICS as a Commission of the same name. The International Academy of Olympic Chiropractic Officers honors those holders of the Doctor of Chiropractic degree who, specializing in sports chiropractic around the world, have attained that highest of qualifications, i.e. that they have been invited by a National Olympic Committee to treat that country's athletes at the Olympic Games or a Regional Games. It is composed of only those Doctors who have achieved this level of expertise and this credential.

Formation and Organization

IAOCO was formed at the same meeting as FICS; in 1987, and has its headquarters in the Internet website, as well as the offices of its President.
